We're looking to build our People Stewardship team by adding someone who practices in learning and organizational development to the mix. We don't look at things in a silo, when we think about stewardship it is about considering all the parts that make up a whole, their interconnectedness and interdependence, and how this contributes to longevity and health of our people, community, and business.

We're a networked organization that is connected informally, and work based on relationships, teams, and communities. You'll be joining our team of six, based primarily in Kamloops, that provides a range of services to a growing and geographically dispersed staff of 500+ people. As a member of our People Stewardship team, you'll focus on learning initiatives, leadership development programs, diversity and inclusion integration, employee feedback/listening strategy and community/culture building. More specifically you will:

  • Collaboratively create an inspired and inclusive employee experience that reflects our purpose.
  • Design customized people-centric approaches and solutions that align with organizational and business priorities.
  • Facilitate values driven learning experiences that strengthen community, while they build skills, knowledge, and confidence.
  • Engage, equip, and empower leaders at all levels of our organization to increase their effectiveness and influence.  
  • Convene conversations with company-wide networks that reinforce our philosophy and approach.
  • Shape strategies to inform learning priorities and implementation.
  • Serve as a thinking partner and sounding board on a wide range of people related topics, like team effectiveness, 360 feedback processes, and a positive work environment.
  • Champion, communicate and adapt our People Stewardship offering efforts in keeping with our diverse, evolving and geographically dispersed community.
  • Curate employee experiences to strengthen unity and interconnectedness across our organization.
  • Coach and mentor team members to their full potential.

About You

You are a learning and/or organizational development practitioner with relevant post secondary education and roughly 7-10 years progressive experience, ideally in a consulting type role. More specifically, you are:

  • A strong relationship builder who brings care and a service mindset to interactions with others.
  • Passionate about fostering a healthy, inspired, fun and inclusive work environment.
  • Curious—driven to understand what matters and what motivates.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • A student of human behaviour.
  • Able to translate business needs into strategies and solutions that create positive impacts across multiple bottom lines. 
  • Experienced in leading program/initiative design, implementation, and adoption.
  • An excellent communicator with demonstrated skills in coaching conversations, employee engagement, group facilitation, and presentation.
  • Experience sourcing, utilizing, and implementing technology to support People programs and initiatives.
