Major technological step forward for CareerBuilder with the acquisition of Broadbean

On April 1, 2014, CareerBuilder announced the acquisition of Broadbean, a major player in online talent search. With this merger, CareerBuilder is continuing its development as a leading provider of HR SaaS and now offers recruiters a more rapid and affordable solution to attract talent.

Broadbean, an enticing business

Broadbean develops tools to optimize the online hiring process and provides suggestions for lowering costs. Broadbean is a unique interface for searching online for talent from 6,000 job sites (including CareerBuilder) and social networks from 183 countries. Each month the company posts 2 million job offers, which generate 10 million applications and over 60,000 users who connect to it (from small recruitment agencies to major multinational agencies).

CareerBuilder, the undisputed leader in online recruitment

CareerBuilder, world leader in human capital solutions, offers a full range of services for talent management, compensation and even the dynamics of the local labour force. Its online employment site, CareerBuilder.com, is the largest in the United States: 24 million unique visitors and 1 million jobs. With a presence in the United States, Europe, South America, Canada and Asia, the company works with the most well known employers in the world.

In search of competitive advantage

According to Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder, the merger will let customers benefit from a broader distribution of job offers with a more intuitive and more data driven configuration. His counterpart at Broadbean, Kelly Robinson, sees this as a fantastic opportunity to create a competitive advantage in recruitment with the provision of relevant recruitment data and services, never before seen by employers.
