List of the most attractive Canadian cities for jobs

The BMO study on the attractiveness of Canadian cities in terms of the job market shows that the West of the country is in the lead. Regina, Edmonton and Calgary share the podium of the cities that are the most attractive. They are followed by Saskatoon, then further down by Quebec, in 7th place.

The success of a city for migrants is explained by criteria of the highest average salary, lowest unemployment rate, ease of access to the largest housing (lowest prices) and less burdensome taxation.

The movements of Canadians between the provinces reached its peak last year and Alberta attracted 50,000 migrants in 2012. The Maritimes accounted for the largest number of departures.
