Launch of ACCTjob.ca: The first accounting job board in Canada

jobWings Careers is launching ACCTjob.ca, the first site targeting technical accounting jobs for clerks, technicians and supervisors. "There is currently a labour crunch in the accounting field, particularly in payroll, bookkeeping and accounts payable," explained Manuel Francisci, president of jobWings. "With this new tool, we hope to facilitate movement in the sector, as we have done in many sectors already."

This new web site, available in French and English, covers many accounting specialties: bookkeeping, billing, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and more.

Applicants have access to services like job alert, advanced search and specialized information and advice: CVs, interviews, job tickets, index,…

"The launch of ACCTjob.ca completes our accounting offering," stated Manuel Francisci. "Our flagship site, jobWings.ca, targets professionals with an accounting designation, while ACCTjob.ca is for technical accounting jobs."

Workopolis and Sympatico/MSN renew their partnership

Workopolis announced it has renewed its partnership agreement with Sympatico/MSN to be the exclusive career-related content provider to sympatico.msn.ca through 2008, on September 11th, 2006. Workopolis and Sympatico/MSN naturally lean to cooperate since they both have Bell Globemedia as shareholder.

Additionally, Workopolis announced new services on its website. For recruiters, the resume ranking search engine has been improved. For job seekers, Workopolis has launched confidential resumes which allow blocking all contact information on the resumes while still allowing recruiters to search job seekers' skills, experience, education and working preferences.
