This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on. Supporting multiple locations within a non-unionized environment, the Regional Human Resources Manager will oversee a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, payroll and benefits oversight, compliance, training and development, immigration support, employee engagement, and HR reporting. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will play an important role in strengthening HR processes, supporting employees and leaders, and helping build an engaged, high-performing workplace across the organization. Regional Human Resources Manager – Details Salary: $80,000–$100,000/year Location: Greater Toronto Area Employment: Full-time, permanent Travel: Occasional travel between company locations as required Regional Human Resources Manager – Responsibilities Manage day-to-day HR operations and provide HR guidance and support across multiple Canadian locations. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract talent across a variety of departments and organizational levels. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, selection, offers, and onboarding. Partner with department leaders to understand workforce requirements and provide recommendations on hiring and employee-related matters. Oversee payroll administration, including timekeeping, deductions, reconciliations, reporting, and coordination with payroll providers. Support the administration and ongoing review of compensation, group benefits, pension, and employee assistance programs. Conduct salary benchmarking and market research to help maintain competitive and equitable compensation practices. Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable federal and provincial employment legislation, employment standards, human rights requirements, and accessibility regulations. Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and workplace guidelines. Manage employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace issues, investigations, corrective action, and terminations. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation. Coordinate immigration and work authorization requirements for foreign workers, including work permits, employment verification, renewals, and required documentation. Liaise with immigration professionals and legal counsel when required. Identify organizational training needs and coordinate employee training, professional development, onboarding, and orientation programs. Support succession planning and employee development initiatives across the organization. Develop employee engagement, recognition, retention, and workplace culture initiatives. Coordinate employee surveys, team-building activities, and other company-wide programs. Maintain HRIS information and ensure employee data is accurate, current, and confidential. Track and report key HR metrics including turnover, recruitment activity, training, engagement, and other workforce trends. Prepare HR reports and required government submissions. Analyze HR data and recommend opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness. Provide consistent HR support across multiple locations while adapting programs and practices to individual operational requirements. Regional Human Resources Manager – Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of progressive, hands-on Human Resources experience across multiple HR functions. CHRP, CPHR, or equivalent professional HR designation preferred; candidates willing to obtain their designation within approximately two years will also be considered. Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial employment legislation and HR compliance requirements. Experience managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, policies, and workplace issues. Working knowledge of payroll administration, compensation, benefits, and related reporting. Previous experience supporting multiple locations is strongly preferred. Experience within manufacturing, food processing, or another industrial environment is considered a strong asset. Experience supporting immigration, work permits, or employment authorization matters is an asset. Familiarity with payroll and HR platforms such as ADP, Workday, or comparable systems is an asset. Experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is considered an asset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive matters. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and workers’ compensation is considered an asset. Requirements
