Position Title: Talent Acquisition Student Recruiter Location: Saskatoon, SK Employment Type: Full-Time The Opportunity Our client is looking for a motivated and people focused Talent Acquisition Student Recruiter to join the team and gain hands-on experience in the recruitment and talent acquisition field. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of the entire recruitment process, collaborating closely with a dedicated client, their hiring managers, and teams. Your mission is to delve into their unique staffing needs, ensuring precision in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for enduring placements. But that's just the beginning! As a student, you'll be a guiding force, providing support and insights to all parties involved throughout the recruitment process. We don't just fill roles; we forge connections. Key Responsibilities As the Student Recruiter, you will: Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates. Source and attract candidates through various channels such as job postings, social media, and networking events. Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance and support throughout the recruitment process. Maintain your knowledge and understanding of innovations and changes within the agriculture industry. Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent. Conduct phone screens, set up video and in-person interviews to evaluate candidates’ qualifications and fit for the position and company culture. Coordinate with hiring managers to schedule and conduct interviews and ensure timely feedback to candidates. Manage the offer process and negotiate compensation packages with selected candidates. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment service orientated and strong community relationships. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to recruitment and hiring. Spend time with our client and learn about their needs and challenges. Know that this position will be focused work for one client. Be able to work independently with remote team support. Qualifications As the Student Recruiter, you will bring: Higher education in Human Resources or Recruitment such as the RPR (Registered Professional Recruiter), or a Diploma in Human Resources would be an asset. A strong knowledge and understanding of the agriculture industry. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, candidates, external partners, and local community networks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with candidates at all levels. Hands-on experience with various recruitment methods and tools. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases. Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently. Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of professionalism. Knowledge of recruitment best practices and legal requirements related to recruitment and hiring.
