We are accepting applications for the following Non-Union 1.0 FTE permanent Staffing Officer within the Human Resource Services department at the Education Centre located in Seaforth, Ontario. Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, 12 months per year Start Date: As soon as possible Rate of Pay: $65,452 - $76,225 as per Level 4 in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for Non-Union, Management, Administrative and Supervisory Employees Vacancy Status: current vacancy Reports to: Senior Human Resource Services Manager Summary of Position: The HRS Staffing Officer will be essential in facilitating staffing activities and ensuring efficient HR operations across our schools and administrative offices. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Administer and maintain key Human Resource programs, including but not limited to absence management system, HRIS, hiring and staffing platforms; Manage various staffing activities for teaching and support staff positions from creating postings, sourcing candidates, short listing, screening, interviewing, and referring applicants and preparing related correspondence for successful and unsuccessful applicants for signature; Organize, prepare and maintain staffing documentation, ensuring timely distribution and accuracy; Provide administrative support in all annual staffing processes for the upcoming school year for the appropriate employee groups; Field enquiries from internal stakeholders in relation to collective agreement interpretation, terms and conditions of employment, administrative procedures, standard operating procedures, etc. Pull data and prepare reports and statistical staffing data for Ministry Board Reports, Ministry Class Size Reports, and reviewing school Ministry of Education Onsis staffing data; Create budget data for balancing of employee data for use by Finance for budget estimates, revised estimates actuals and negotiation purposes; Respond to data errors and follow-up with HRS and Payroll Representatives; Provide general office support, including handling enquiries, maintaining files, and preparing correspondence; Other duties as assigned. Education, Qualifications And Experience Two (2) year college diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration specializing in Human Resources or equivalent education; Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset; Minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience, preferably in the education sector; Other Prerequisites Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Apply to Education and iSYS is an asset. Requirements
